COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) has announced the all-conference awards for the 2015-16 basketball season and freshman sharpshooter Jarrett Brodbeck was named the Freshman of the Year. Brodbeck and sophomore Dexter Sienko were named to the All-RMAC Second Team for the first time in their young careers.

Brodbeck, a Yorba Linda, Calif. native, made a name for himself in the conference during his first season at Regis. The freshman led the team in scoring and ranked 11th in the conference averaging 16.5 points per game, while also knocking down a team-high 3.4 three-pointers per game. In a game earlier this season, Brodbeck went 10-17 from beyond the three-point line, rankng the guard third in RMAC history for most three-pointers made in a single game. On that night, Brodbeck netted 41 points which also ranks him third all-time in Regis history for most points scored in a single game. The future is bright for this young shooter who splashed a conference-leading 95 made three-pointers.

Sophomore Dexter Sienko (Spokane, Wash,) joins Brodbeck on the All-RMAC Second Team after an impressive sophomore campaign. Sienko scored in double-figures on 24 occasions this season. The sophomore ranked second on the team, and 11th in the conference, in points per game (16.0 ppg) and led the Rangers in rebounding at 7.0 rebounds per game. Sienko's rebounding numbers ranked eighth in the RMAC this season. With his incredible efficiency, Sienko ranked third in the conference with a shooting percentage of 57.1 percent. Sienko also ranked ninth in the RMAC on the defensive end with 1.0 blocked shots per game, and sixth with 1.5 steals per game.

The men's basketball season came to an end last Friday, but the team remains excited for what lies ahead in the future of the basketball program. With a young core group of players returning next year, the Rangers will look to improve in the RMAC, with the goal of reaching the RMAC Tournament at the end of the season and making a run for the RMAC Championship.
